A school in Dublin has been shut down for two weeks after a student was diagnosed with the coronavirus.

The male student developed symptoms after returning from a trip to northern Italy, and was confirmed as Ireland's first case on Saturday.

Parents at the school have been told to isolate children from the rest of their family if they develop symptoms.

Dr Tony Holohan, chief medical officer with the Department of Health, says they'll test for the virus if they do.
