COVID19 hits Cork prison as 13 prison staff in self isolation

It's been reported that 13 staff in Cork Prison are in self isolation after a fellow colleague tested positive for COVID19.

The prison officers affected are now off duty for two weeks in accordance with HSE guidelines.

Cork prison is one of the prison facilities in the country that introduced temperature screenings as a means of early detection of the virus.

Meanwhile visitation to the prison has been restricted.
