Concerns mount as home help services set to be withdrawn for many

Concerns have been expressed Leeside about the removal of some home help services in the wake of the COVID19 outbreak.

The new measures were first reported on RedFM News last week after service users in Douglas were contacted about the issue and were advised the new measures would be in place for a number of weeks.

In a statement issued to RedFM News Cork/Kerry Community say the COVID19 outbreak put them in a position where they were forced to temporarily review the level of home support service they could provide to some people.

It was also confirmed that supports would still be available for those who are most in need of the service.

Speaking to RedFM News Cork TD Thomas Gould says he has been contacted by numerous families in recent days all concerned about arranging cover for family members who rely on the service:
