Bantry General Hospital has temporarily suspended hospital visiting effective immediately.
Due to increased infection control measures that are now in place in the hospital, including St. Joseph's Residential Unit, visiting will only be allowed on compassionate grounds.
In a statement to RedFM News, Bantry General Hospital said all theatre elective surgery has been cancelled and that they will contact each patient to reschedule.
