Cork is renowned for its amazing cuisine, and two restaurants have just been added to the latest Michelin Guide.

Twelve new food hotspots from across Ireland and the UK have been added to the latest guide by the experts.

So what Cork restaurants have been added and where do we go to taste this amazing food.

Well, the first of the two restaurants is The Glass Curtain in Thompson House on MacCurtain Street.

Speaking of the restaurant the Michelin Guide website says:

“Both the name and the large photo on the back wall pay homage to this building’s former life as the iconic Thompson’s Bakery; now a compact brasserie. Monochrome décor, exposed pipework and a charming team set the scene. Modern dishes have a personal touch and are cooked with grá.”

The second of the newly added Cork restaurants is Adrift in Dunmore House in West Cork.

Sitting on the shores of Clon, it has been a family home since 1934 and became a business in the 1940s.

Speaking of Adrift, the Michelin Guide says:

Run by the fourth generation of the owners’ family, this restaurant is set in an enviable position on the ground floor of the Dunmore House Hotel with views out over Clonakilty Bay. Tasty, modern dishes showcase locally sourced produce, including some from their own organic kitchen garden.”
