There are plans for a revamp of Páirc Uí Chaoimh stadium.

The board has applied for planning permission to improve the public offering at the stadium.

The plans include a new GAA museum, visitor experience centre and a ground floor cafe.

The HSE says it expects Covid-19 cases to reach 2,000 a day in the next week to 10 days.

1,189 were confirmed yesterday and cases are growing at 6 per cent a day.

The European Medicines Agency is expected to authorise a second Covid-19 vaccine for children today.

Today will be the final full day of the current heatwave with temperatures to reach close to 30 degrees again.

A status yellow alert for Cork will run until tomorrow morning.

Conditions over the weekend are still to be good, however it won't be as hot as in recent days.
