The trial continues today of a 38-year-old woman who is charged with the murder of a two-year old girl in Cork nearly three years ago.

Karen Harrington with an address at Lakelands Crescent in Mahon denies murdering Santina Cawley who was found with serious injuries on the Boreenamanna Road.

Yesterday, the jury were shown CCTV footage from the apartment complex and surrounding neighbourhoods.

Ireland will have another surge of Covid infections in four to six weeks, according to the World Health Organisation.

It's after the number of patients in hospital with the virus dropped by over two thirds this month.

After Dublin, Cork city has the second highest average rent for new tenancies in the country.

That's according to the Residential Tenancies Board, which has published its quarterly Rent Index report for the 2021 October to December period
