Sean Kelly's become the first MEP to cross the finish line in the European elections. His re-election was confirmed last night in the Ireland South constituency. Count centre staff return for the fourth day at Nemo Rangers GAA Club later this morning.

Ireland is in 22nd place out of 27 EU countries for the number of women holding seats in local Government. 27 female councillors ran for election in Cork City but just 5 were elected to council. While in the county there were 41 candidates running and 13 out of 15 women were re-elected to the County Council.

Students are being reminded to rest and eat well as they battle through their first full week of exams. It's Irish Paper two for Leaving Cert students this morning followed by Biology in the afternoon. Meanwhile Junior Cert Graphics and Italian students will sit their exams at half past 9 before French at half 1.

and Taylor Swift's Eras tour has apparently ruined the plans of some hens and stags, as 'Swifties' have been booking hotels in Europe's major cities. One hen and stag party company says demand is so high for accommodation during around the dates of her shows, that there's either no rooms available or prices are so high they're unaffordable.
