The 16 year old transition year student died after the car she was a passenger in struck a wall on Harbour View Road in Knocknaheeny last Thursday.
Two other boys were injured in the crash, one of them critically.
At her requiem mass at St Mary's on the Hill Church earlier chief celebrant Fr Greg Howard told the congregation that Kimberly was too young, so fragile and still so unprepared to give up life
Fr Howard says the community has come together over the last week, supporting each other in their shared pain
Kimberly is being laid to rest at St Catherine's Cemetery Kilkully.
