An alleged mistake with the Garda cordon allowed Sophie Toscan Du Plantier's killer access to the crime scene the day after her murder, according to an unnamed source.
The Irish Mirror reports the investigation has been skewed for 25 years because of the issue, though the person has not been named.
Author Nick Foster says he's received information that alleges a breach of the Garda cordon the morning after Sophie was brutally murdered 25 years ago.
Former journalist Ian Bailey was arrested twice in connection with the investigation into Sophie's death, but has never been charged in relation to it in Ireland.
