Road Closures taking place across Cork today

There are a number of road closures and diversions taking place across Cork today.

These include:

  • L2998 Dunkettle Road: Stop/Go in place daily 0930-1600 to facilitate bridge widening works for Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme (Sisks)

 

  • N8/N25 Westbound: Lane restrictions in place 0930-1600hrs to facilitate works to Glashaboy river bridge.

 

  • **N25 Eastbound and Westbound**: Lane restrictions in place on an ongoing basis to facilitate Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade site works.

 

  • ***N40 Dunkettle Interchange***: Lane Restrictions in place on an ongoing basis both on the circulatory carriageway and slips roads to facilitate interchange upgrade works.

 

  • ***M8 Northbound & Southbound***: Lane Restrictions in place 24hrs until January 2022 to facilitate bridge widening works for the Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme.

 

Here are more on-going closures across the county:

  • Deane Street: Road closure in place from 0930hrs on Tuesday 25th of February 2020 until November 2022 from is junction with Oliver Plunkett Street Lower to its junction with Clontarf Street to facilitate development of the Prism Building by CField Construction.
  • Henry Street: Road closure in operation 24hr from its junction with Prospect Row to its junction with Millerd Street to facilitate additional storage facilities due Covid-19 (Mercy Hospital)
  • Sheares Street: Partial bus lane closure in place from 23rd of February 2021 until October 2022 to facilitate Mercy Hospital extension works. A temporary pedestrian walkway will be in place for the duration.
  • Washington Street: Footpath closure in place until August 2022 to facilitate apartment complex construction works at the old Square Deal site. An alternative route is provided.
  • Terence McSwiney Quay/Anglesea Street: A 24hr Bus Lane closure in place to facilitate the operating of the Vaccination Centre at Cork City Hall.
  • Corkerans Quay: Road Closure in place from 0930hrs Monday 5th of July until May 2022 from its junction with Watercourse Road to facilitate construction of apartment block. Local access will be maintained. Footpath access to the N20 North Link Road will also be closed and diversions will be in place.
  • ***Togher Road***: Stop/Go in place 0700-1900 to facilitate culvert construction works as part of the flood relief works. Temporary traffic lights will be in place outside of these hours. (MGOS)
  • Tower Street: Road Closure in place from 0930hrs Saturday 14th of August 2021 until Friday 12th of August 2022 to facilitate demolition and apartment construction works at No’s 48, 50 and 52 Barrack Street.
  • Coleman’s Lane: Closure in place until November 2022 from its junction with Grattan Street to its junction with North Main Street to facilitate demolition works and apartment block development.
  • Popes Quay: 24hr Lane Alterations in place to facilitate watermain works with traffic flows being maintained.
  • North Mall: Stop/Go in place 0800-1900hrs to facilitate watermain works. Temporary traffic lights outside of these hours.
  • Morrison’s Quay: Road Closure in place from 0800hrs Tuesday 04th of January 2022 until 1800hrs Friday 23rd of December 2022 from its junction with Catherine Street to its junction with Fitton Street to facilitate works on the redevelopment of Moore’s Hotel.
