A red flag is in place at Fountainstown Beach after the sighting of a Portuguese Man O' War jellyfish.
On Monday Garrylucas beach in Garrettstown were closed by lifeguards for the same reason and over the weekend there were
sightings of the dangerous jellies also at Owenahincha Beach and Long Strand.
The Cork County Lifeguard Service are warning they can be on the shore and in the water and can inflict severe stings.
