The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, has announced funding of almost €6 million to develop 200 outdoor adventure projects across Rural Ireland.
Included in the multi-million development project is €30,000 for Fountainstown Beach in Carrigaline. The funding is set to improve access for water sports, as well as landscaping works.
It's hoped that the €6 million will provide a boost to local economies while enhancing outdoor facilities.
