Progress has been made on Clonakilty’s new fire station.
Cork County Council confirmed that the much anticipated project is going to tender.
The new building, on the town’s bypass, is to replace the station on Kent St.
A contractor will be appointed once the tender process has concluded.
Construction inflation has made the tender process more difficult, with potential issues with sharing the inflation risk.
