Power outages are being reported this morning in Kinsale, Douglas, Bantry and Clonakilty.

The ESB say their repair crews are working on the faults and hope to get all customers back on the power grid as soon as possible.

Cork is under a Yellow Weather alert for wind until 3pm this afternoon with Met Eireann warning of strong west to northwest winds developing.

There are reports of a number of trees down across the city and county following high winds including at Kilbarry, between Clondulane and Ballyduff, also between Ballyfeard and Minane Bridge, on the main Kilbrittain Road.

There has also been a report of debris, northbound, on the M8 Cork - Dublin Road between J14 Fermoy and J13 Mitchelstown South.

The strong winds led to over 3,000 customers being knocked off the power grid in Timolgeaue and 2,000 in the Turner's Cross area earlier this morning.
