There are plans for a revamp of Páirc Uí Chaoimh stadium.

The board has applied for planning permission to improve the public offering at the stadium.

The plans include a new GAA museum, visitor experience centre, and a ground floor cafe.

There are also interior changes to make the stadium more attractive as a conference venue along with new entrances and a car park off Monahan Rd.

Residents in the Ballintemple area have expressed disappointment over Cork City Council decision to allow the Cork GAA board to make a planning application.

They have raised concerns about the possible use of Council lands already designated as part of Marina Park,

Residents are also concerned about unregulated parking, litter issues and a lack of consultation over events.
