Parents of children aged 5 to 11 can book appointments online at Covid-19 vaccine clinics from today.
The HSE is expanding access to centres for this age group, giving parents an option to bring their child for the Covid-19 jab at a time that suits them.
The details are available on HSE.ie and they can book an appointment for the vaccine up to 5 days in advance.
HSE National Lead for Vaccinations and Testing, Damien McCallion says they want to give parents more flexibility:
"So one of the things as we come into mid term that we were keen to do is try and increase the accessibility for parents and their children to the clinics which are operated for those aged five to 11 to our vaccination centres. So essentially from this weekend, people will be able to book their own appointment time to suit themselves and we're very conscious to a midterm that this may suit parents are better perhaps, than during normal school week and people are working and so on."
