It comes as students begin their fourth day of protest against the plans, which will impact around 1,300 students at five apartment complexes.
The protest continues to grow, with up to 60 students camping out on the quad last night.
A spokesperson for UCC says the University is working to ensure students welfare is protected during their protest and say the board did not take its decision to increase rents by a maximum of €20 per month lightly.
