Over 1.2km of old water mains are to be replaced in Ovens.
Works are expected to begin in early November and are to be finished by mid-December.
The road will be closed from the Ovens Bar to the junction with the Killumney Road.
Traffic lights will be in place from the junction of Killumney Road to the junction with Caseys Road.
In a statement to RedFM News, Uisce Éireann says local and emergency traffic will always be maintained.
