"Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision at the junction of the North Ring Road and the Old Youghal Road, outside Mayfield Business Park, Cork. The collision occurred at approximately 4:50pm and involved an articulated lorry and a pedestrian. The road is currently closed with local diversions in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area where possible. No further information is available at this time. Updates will follow"
