A man in his 50's is due in court this morning charged with an incident in North Cork on Christmas Day
Shortly after 4.30pm on Christmas Day, Gardaí were called to the scene of a domestic incident at a residence at Banteer near Kanturk
A woman in her 50's was removed from the scene by ambulance to Cork University Hospital for treatment to apparent stab wounds. Her injuries were described at the time as serious but not life threatening.
A man, also in his 50s was located near the scene a short time later, he was also taken to hospital for medical treatment.
In a statement issued to RedFM News this morning Gardaí say they charged a man in connection with the incident and the man, in his 50's, is due before a sitting of Midleton District Court, this morning, at 10.30am.
