A lone Kayaker is back on dry land after being rescued off the West Cork coast.
He was spotted in trouble off the Old Head of Kinsale by golfers on the local Golf Links, near the rocks on the western side of the Lighthouse.
He was trying to round the Lighthouse when he was thrown off the Kayak.
The Courtmacsherry All Weather RNLI Lifeboat was called to the incident yesterday evening.
He was removed from the water, assessed and was then brought to the Courtmacsherry Pontoon.
