Residents on the blockade at Lios Cara in Killeens say the developer of 44 homes at the estate has contacted them to arrange a meeting.
The group began their blockade yesterday morning after learning that all of the homes would become social housing.
Around 35 people blocked the entrance to the estate this morning at 5:30am to prevent construction work for a second day.
The Lios Cara Residents Committee say they want the development to include a mix of social, affordable and private housing.
