Italian fever is sweeping across Cork this weekend as the first ever Italian Film Festival takes place.
UCC's Department of Italian and Department of Film and Screen Media have worked with the Italian Cultural Institute in Dublin and with the Gate Cinema in Cork to organise the festival.
Organisers say they want the Italian Film Festival to be an annual tradition in Cork like the successful Cork French Film Festival.
The festival runs until tomorrow and organisers hope to spread awareness of Italian culture to "beyond pizza"
