Irish Water issue warning of water outages in Douglas due to improvement works

Irish Water are to begin water network improvement works in Amberley Park, Douglas, Cork City to strengthen the water supply in the area.

Irish Water and Cork City Council are advising customers in the below areas, that as part of the water main connection works being delivered in Amberley Park, Douglas, there may be disruption to their water supply from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday 29th November.

Customers in the following areas could be affected:

Amberley Park, Amberley Heights, Amberley Drive, Arbour Court, Kingsford Park, Stockton Close, Dosel Drive, Sandown, The Marlings, Kenley, Waldin, Eugene Drive, Grange Heights, Oakview Lawn, Oakview Drive, Oakview and surrounding areas.

During these essential works, homes and businesses in the above areas area may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages. Following the completion of improvement works, water supply may take two-three hours to return as water refills the network. Work crews will endeavour to complete works ahead of time to expedite the return of supply to the affected areas.

Irish Water understands this type of work can be inconvenient and will ensure work crews make every effort to minimise any disruption these works may cause.
