Irish Water and the County Council have announced a major upgrade to water infastructure in Kilpatrick and Ballyclough.
3.75km of leak-prone watermains are to replaced as part of Irish Water's 'National Leakage Reduction Programme'.
The project is set to begin in mid-August and be completed by late October.
Several road closures are required over the construction timeline. The road closure times, granted by Cork County Council in conjunction with An Garda Síochána, are expected to be in place for 24-hours a day on the below dates:
- L5310 - 8am on Monday, 29 August to 6pm on Friday, 16 September.
- L5308 - 8am on Monday, 12 September to 6pm on Friday, 14 October.
- L53081- 8am on Monday, 10 October to 6pm on Friday, 4 November.
Diversions will be signposted on approach.
