Air accident investigators are continuing to examine the scene of a yesterday's plane crash in Waterford.
One person - the pilot and sole occupant of the light aircraft - was killed when it came down near Waterford Airport yesterday afternoon.
The pilot is understood to have been attempting to make an emergency landing
Local Sinn Féin councillor Jim Griffin was in the area at the time - he's been praising the quick response of the emergency services:
"Ambulances arrived, Gardai and fire brigade. You could see them coming from the Tramore direction and the Dunmore east direction. The crash site is almost halfway between the town of Tramore and the village of Dunmore.
"I left the area within a short period of time as the emergency services were as good as on scene, and before I was a couple of 100 metres away I could hear Rescue 117 starting up in the airport."
