There has been an increase in reports of discoloured water - and water quality - in some areas of the city.

In a statement to RedFM News, Irish Water say they are investigating in the South Douglas Road and Montenotte areas- to identify the source of the issues.

They say remedial works are underway to resolve them as quickly as possible.

Irish Water and the City Council recommend running the kitchen tap for a few minutes if your water looks orange or brown - to see if it returns to a clear colour. If it doesn't, report it to the utility.

Irish Water says not to drink discoloured water.
