The mother of a woman murdered by her boyfriend in Cork says she’s relieved he’s lost his latest appeal, and hopes she never lays on him again.

Darren Murphy of Dan Desmond Villas, Passage West, Co. Cork was convicted of the 2013 murder of Olivia Dunlea following three trials.

His first conviction was quashed on appeal, but his latest attempt was rejected by the Court of Appeal.

Outside court afterwards, Olivia's mother Ann said she hoped this is now finally an end to the legal process:

"I'm relieved he's lost his latest appeal, and hope I never lay eyes on him again"
