The incident took place in Mallow on Tuesday
It's believed to be connected to a shooting incident in Ard Bhaile in Mayfield the day before.
Gardai were called to Avenue de Rennes in Mahon at around 11:45pm on St. Patrick's night after shots were fired at the front door of a house.
Two people have been questioned and release without charge in relation to the Mayfield incident.
