A Gaelscoil in Ballincollig are calling on the Government to secure a site for their school.
The schools principal, Máire Ni Shé says Gaelscoil An Chaisleáin has been waiting five years for a permanent site and frustration is building among staff and parents.
A recent petition calling on the Department of Education to find a suitable site for the school received 1,200 signatures by members of the community in Ballincollig.
Speaking to RedFM News, School Principal Máire Ni Shé says the school with 118 students is currently operating out of Ballincollig's Rugby club:
"There's a huge demand for places in the school, from parents seeking in all-Irish primary education for their children. The space here is inadequate going forward to cater for the demand. This temporary accommodation is rented. So it would be better use of all taxpayers money to have a permanent building. So there's an urgent need, really to purchase the permanent site and to build a permanent building for the school."
