Cllr. Colm Kelleher will be the first City Lord Mayor to be driven in a fully electric vehicle.
The mayoral car is a Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV and was presented to the council earlier today by John Manning of Henry Ford & Son Ltd.
City Council says the use of an electric car supports the Council's plan to create a more sustainable city.
