The incident happened on the main Cork to Dublin road just before the Glanmire exit when a van skidded off the road
Gardaí from Mayfield along with fire crews and an ambulance crew responded to the incident and the route was reduced to one lane of traffic.
It's believed the driver escaped the collision injured while the two lane traffic is since back in operation.
