Digital kiosks instead of pay phones won't suit everyone.

That's according to people in the city who have been reacting to Eir's application to get rid of the old phone boxes in the city.

The phone boxes will be replaced with digital pay phones which will have Wi-Fi and interactive touch screens.

Speaking to RedFM News, these people say the kiosks might be too "high tech" for some people

"I wouldn't be able to do digital I don't have a smartphone."

"I think they are vital especially in an emergency, now they need to be looked after better obviously"

"No-one uses cash anymore and then your are snookered when you do need to use cash"
