Mallow has been included in the top ten towns for cleanliness in the 2024 Irish Business Against Litter anti-litter league.
The City Centre is moderately littered and just misses out on a clean status in the ranking of 40 towns and cities.
Mahon and the city's northside have shown improvements on last year's survey.
IBAL spokesperson Conor Horgan says the cities in general did well:
"Generally, it was good news for cities. There were notable improvements in Limerick City, Galvone in Limerick, Mahon in Cork, Tallaght and Dublin;s City Centre is showing slow but steady improvement".
