Cork saw a 60% rise in the number of job opportunities offered in 2021.
Further growth is expected in the coming year, according to new figures released by Irish recruitment company, FRS Recruitment.
Cork was one of the counties to experience the highest increase in employment last year.
Nationally the total number of job postings handled grew by 12%, reaching 81,528 in total for 2021.
The jobs came on stream across a variety of sectors from commercial, IT, healthcare, construction, life sciences,engineering and agricultural sectors.
New jobs in retail were up 117%, and transport and logistics were up 82%.
