Concern has been expressed about jobs in Ballincollig after VMWare announced a restructuring of the company
The firm has begun a six week consultation process with employees which will identify where changes and restructuring will be carried out.
Over 1,000 people are employed by VMWare and staff are reported to concerned that there could be significant reductions in staff numbers within a matter of weeks
VMWare building, Ballincollig, CorkVMware was recently acquired by global tech giant Broadcom, which is implementing company-wide layoffs across the world as it makes structural changes to the business.
The firm has been in Ballincollig since 2005
