Nine weeks after a former piggery with asbestos was demolished without permission locals say a clean up operation has yet to begin.
A mound of rubble remains at the site in Grenagh sparking concerns about asbestos exposure as it's near a local playground and GAA pitch.
Speaking to RedFM News, David Manning of the Grenagh residents sub-committee says they want a timeline on the clean up of the site:
"We are still living with a heap of rubble in the centre of the village that contains asbestos and that's not an assumption, it's been confirmed that there is asbestos on that site. There is air-monitoring continuously happening and dampening of the site by the council. It's near public amenities such as the local playground and the GAA pitch."
