Bantry General Hospital has temporarily suspended hospital visiting effective immediately.
Due to increased infection control measures, visiting will only be allowed on compassionate grounds and must be pre-arranged with ward managers and hospital consultants.
All theatre Elective surgery has been cancelled and the hospital told RedFM News they will contact each patient individually to early reschedule.
