Two art pieces by the Cork Pride Artist-in-Residence were stolen yesterday, and another art piece was vandalised.

The two works by artist Stephen Doyle were both ripped from their secured fixings before being stolen.

His art installation on Sullivan’s Quay was attacked in the same incident.

Statements have been made to the Gardaí and nearby residents and businesses are being canvasses to gather information.

The organisation says that this site has been vandalised several times during the Artist-in-Residence installation, and that the 'UP Cork LGBT Youth Project' mural at this location was repeatedly vandalised during last year's Pride.

Cork Pride are appealing for anyone with information or those with CCTV footage to come forward.
