A Primary School In Ballincollig Is Still Seeking A Permanent Site, Despite Opening Over 3 Years Ago

The population of the school continues to grow.

Gaelscoil an Chaisleáin, which was opened by the Department of Education in 2017, is currently renting a site on the grounds of the Ballincollig Rugby Club in Tanner Park.

However representatives of the school say that as the town's population continues to grow and with multiple housing development projects in the pipeline, the school has outgrown the temporary site.

Speaking to RedFM News, Gaelscoil an Chaisleáin committee member Marguerite Herlihy says it's also a huge waste of taxpayer money:
