The man, who is in his 30's, fell from a wall - believed to be 25 feet high - in the Wellington Road area at around 4.30pm yesterday.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene and the man was taken to Cork University Hospital for medical treatment.
Garda Press has confirmed to RedFM News this morning that the man is currently in a critical but stable condition.
