Students will graduate virtually due to the pandemic

Cork Institute of Technology is holding virtual Conferring Ceremonies this week for the class of 2020 as a result of the restrictions imposed by the COVID19 outbreak.

The virtual conferring ceremonies begin today at noon and as well as tuning in live the college says recordings of each session will be available afterwards.

This will be the last conferring for current President of CIT Dr Barry O'Connor, who is to retire later this year after four decades of working in higher education.

The virtual conferring ceremonies begin at midday and will run for the week.

These ceremonies can be viewed at www.cit.ie/live.

The Conferring schedule can be accessed at: http://www.mycit.ie/examinations/conferrings/.

Recordings of each session will be available afterwards from www.youtube.com/CIT.
