200 homes, farms and businesses in Cork are still without power after Storm Franklin.
The ESB says it hopes to restore power to most customers facing outages by tonight.
There were a number of outages across Cork this morning, the most significant of which was near Boherbue with over 1,000 customers affected however that fault has since been restored,, while counties Donegal and Sligo are impacted the most.
Brian Tapley from ESB Networks says crews faced tough conditions this morning, but they have improved:
"Those conditions kind of over the course of morning have a basis, and it's more conducive I suppose to electrical fault restoration so they're able to work on the network and they're able to do the restoration work, but that's probably only really since the mid morning went on the letters, six in the Northwest kind of pace."
