Salman Rushdie has described the rewriting of Roald Dahl's children's books as "absurd censorship".
Publishers have modified his novels including 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory', reportedly removing the word "fat", for example.
Acclaimed novelist Rushdie has tweeted: "Puffin Books and the Dahl estate should be ashamed."
