Emma Thompson says she wanted her new film 'Good Luck To You, Leo Grande' to be an "opportunity" for her co-star.
The big screen legend appears opposite Tipperary actor Daryl McCormack in the drama - which tells the story of a widowed mother and a young male escort
According to the film's director Sophie Hyde, Emma knew the role didn't necessarily need to go someone with a big profile.
Instead, she wanted it to be 'a star-making' opportunity for an up and coming actor.
