The Irish Aviation Authority is reminding drone owners not to operate them in restricted airspace without permission.
It’s after a person had their remote pilots certificate revoked for using a drone to photograph a fireworks display at the recent Ed Sheeran concert at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The IAA said the flight was conducted without approval and put the safety of the public at risk.
Current regulations mean the owners of a drone weighing more than 250 grams or one equipped with a camera or sensor must register as a drone operator.
