Cork City Council have issued a flood warnings in the city centre for this the Tuesday the 7th of December.
High tides are due to affect Father Matthew St and surrounding areas and may reach as far as the South Mall.
In a statement to RedFM News Cork City Council listed the affected areas:
"Cork City Council wish to advise that there will be a period of high astronomical Spring tides this Tuesday 7th December 2021. It is likely that some roads & parking areas along low-lying quays in the City Centre may suffer localised flooding during high tides; i.e. Morrison’s Quay, Fr Matthew Quay, Trinity Bridge, Union Quay, Sharman Crawford Street, Wandesford Quay, Frenche’s Quay, Proby’s Quay, Crosses Green, Lavitt’s Quay, Kyrl’s Quay and potentially reaching South Terrace, Rutland Street, Sawmill Street and South Mall."
