Michael O'Donoghue pleaded guilty to raping and abusing his daughter, and late last year was sentenced.
The DPP is set to appeal the leniency of the sentence.
Aimee Foley says her heart was broken:
"But when it dropped to to the sentence of seven years afterwards my heart was a bit, I don't even know how to describe a property, like gone down to a single sentence, but it's seven years, I'm not happy with it but it was still something, but then when it went down to five, it just retraumatised me."
