A major new campaign against drug driving is being launched across billboards, cinemas, social media, television and radio.
It follows the arrest of more than 3 thousand people last year, for driving under the influence of drugs.
The Road Safety Authority says its new campaign will target the fear, loss and shame surrounding road collisions.

"If you plan to go abroad a number of key countries that Irish people, particularly young people really want to go to, they view it as their life plan in their 20s and in their 30s you know to go to Australia to Canada, America, all of those, you may be quite hampered if you have a drug driving conviction"
